About this frame

A slim, square 17mm profile — understated and endlessly versatile, in a deep, confident black in a smooth, closed-grain finish. It suits monochrome photography, bold typographic prints and anything you want to feel grounded and gallery-sharp. Each frame is cut, mitered and assembled to fit your print — handmade in the UK and shipped ready to hang.

Made to your size. Every frame is cut, joined and glazed to order, which is why we can't accept returns on made-to-measure frames. Please check your size before ordering.

Arrives perfect, or we remake it. Every frame travels in specialised picture frame packaging. If anything reaches you less than perfect, send us a photo within 48 hours of delivery and we'll remake it free.

Caring for it. Peel any protective film from the glazing, then clean with a soft, dry cloth. Don't use glass cleaner.

Frame your Playbill

A Broadway Playbill is 5⅜×8⅜", so these frames come with a mat whose opening is cut to that size: the mat holds the cover by its edges and the whole cover shows. The booklet stays closed, so nothing is cut or glued.

Pick a 9×12" frame for a neat border or an 11×14" for a wider one. Add printed text to the mat - the show, the date you saw it and the theatre, or the names of who you went with.

Theatre programmes in the UK are usually A5 or A4: the metric frames offer those openings too. Another size? Custom framing cuts the mat opening to fit.

What size is a Playbill?

A Broadway Playbill is 5⅜×8⅜" (about 13.7×21.3cm). The mat opening is cut to that size, a few millimetres smaller so the mat overlaps the edges.

What size frame do I need?

Choose the frame, then the opening that matches your programme:

  • Broadway Playbill - 9×12", 11×14" or 12×16" frame.
  • A5 programme - A4 frame.
  • A4 programme - A3 or 30×40cm frame.
Can you print the show name on the mat?

Yes. Add printed text to the mat - the show, the date, the theatre, a cast member's name. Printing upgrades the mat to our Premium mat.

Will a signed Playbill fit?

Yes. Signatures are usually on the cover, which is what shows. If yours are inside, frame it open with custom framing.

Can I frame the ticket with it?

Not in the same mat: each frame has one opening. Frame the ticket on its own and hang the two together.

Do I need to send you my Playbill?

No. We make the frame and mat and post them to you, and you put the programme in at home.
