A slim, square 17mm profile — understated and endlessly versatile, in a deep, confident black in a smooth, closed-grain finish. It suits monochrome photography, bold typographic prints and anything you want to feel grounded and gallery-sharp. Each frame is cut, mitered and assembled to fit your print — handmade in the UK and shipped ready to hang.

Made to your size. Every frame is cut, joined and glazed to order, which is why we can't accept returns on made-to-measure frames. Please check your size before ordering.

Arrives perfect, or we remake it. Every frame travels in specialised picture frame packaging. If anything reaches you less than perfect, send us a photo within 48 hours of delivery and we'll remake it free.

Caring for it. Peel any protective film from the glazing, then clean with a soft, dry cloth. Don't use glass cleaner.

Choosing a frame for your 11 × 14 inch artwork

An 11 × 14 inch frame holds an 11 × 14 inch sheet without a mat (279.4 × 355.6 mm). It is a useful format for portrait photographs, illustrations and smaller wall prints. Measure the whole paper, including any white margin supplied with the print. A printed border is part of the artwork sheet; it is not a separate mat.

Start with frame-only for artwork that already measures 11 × 14 inches. If your photograph is smaller, this frame offers optional mat openings labeled 8 × 10 or 5 × 7 inches. A mat is an extra selection, not part of the starting frame-only option.

For an 11 × 14 inch print with a mat around it, choose a larger frame instead. An 18 × 24 inch frame offers an opening for 11 × 14 inch artwork, giving the print more space within the display. Select that opening in the frame options; following the link does not preselect a mat.

Mat opening labels refer to the artwork size. We cut the window slightly smaller so the mat overlaps the edges and helps prevent the artwork from falling through. Keep any signature or important detail away from the paper’s edge.

What size artwork fits an 11x14 frame?

What frame do I need for an 11x14 print with a mat?

Will an A3 print fit an 11x14 frame?

No. A3 measures 297 × 420 mm, which is larger than 11 × 14 inches (279 × 356 mm) in both directions. Choose an A3 frame instead.

Is 11 × 14 inches the outside size of the frame?

No. It is the size of the artwork the frame holds. The molding extends beyond that, so the overall outside dimensions depend on the profile you choose. Allow for the frame border when measuring your wall space.

Are the frames real wood?

Yes. Our wood moldings are solid wood with closed-grain, open-grain or bobbin finishes, handmade in the UK. Metal moldings are real aluminum.

How long does delivery take?

Each frame is cut and assembled to order. Dispatched in 2–5 working days.
