Express shipping is available on print-only orders in any size, and on framed orders in the sizes below — these are the sizes we keep ready-made frames for, so we can still despatch quickly if there is no time to cut a frame to order.

Express is not available on mounts and mats, on custom sizes, or on oversized and panoramic sizes. An order containing any item without express will show standard shipping only.

About this frame
A slim, square 17mm profile — understated and endlessly versatile, in a deep, confident black in a smooth, closed-grain finish. It suits monochrome photography, bold typographic prints and anything you want to feel grounded and gallery-sharp. Each frame is cut, mitered and assembled to fit your print — handmade in the UK and shipped ready to hang.

- Clear cast-acrylic glazing — lighter and safer in transit than glass.
- Backed in archival foamboard with sealed edges.
- Ships with hanging hardware fitted; larger frames include wire + screws.
- Prints on archival paper with pigment inks, 100+ years light-fast.

Each frame is made to order. UK orders typically dispatch within 2–5 working days. International shipping calculated at checkout.
If anything arrives damaged, we replace it.

What sizes do your black frames come in?
All our black frames are made to measure. Enter any width and height and we cut the frame to fit — from small photos to large posters.
Are the frames real wood?
Yes. Our black mouldings are solid wood with matt closed-grain, open-grain or bobbin finishes, handmade in the UK.
Can I add a mount to a black frame?
Yes — add a mount (mat board) when configuring your frame, in a range of aperture sizes.
What's the difference between closed and open grain?
Closed grain has a smooth painted finish; open grain leaves the wood texture visible through the colour.
