A slim, square 17mm profile — understated and endlessly versatile, in a deep, confident black in a smooth, closed-grain finish. It suits monochrome photography, bold typographic prints and anything you want to feel grounded and gallery-sharp. Each frame is cut, mitered and assembled to fit your print — handmade in the UK and shipped ready to hang.

Made to your size. Every frame is cut, joined and glazed to order, which is why we can't accept returns on made-to-measure frames. Please check your size before ordering.

Arrives perfect, or we remake it. Every frame travels in specialised picture frame packaging. If anything reaches you less than perfect, send us a photo within 48 hours of delivery and we'll remake it free.

Caring for it. Peel any protective film from the glazing, then clean with a soft, dry cloth. Don't use glass cleaner.

What is a 50x50cm picture frame best for?

50x50cm (500 × 500 mm) is a true square. It suits square photo prints, album art, canvases and any artwork cropped 1:1 — a format standard rectangular frames cannot take without a custom mount.

Can I add a mount to a 50x50cm frame?

Yes. Add a mount and we cut the aperture to your artwork, so a smaller square print sits inside a larger square frame with an even border on all four sides.

Are the frames real wood?

Yes. Our wood mouldings are solid wood with closed-grain, open-grain or bobbin finishes, handmade in the UK. Metal mouldings are real aluminium.

What is 50x50cm in inches?

50x50cm is about 20″ × 20″. Because the frame is square there is no portrait or landscape version.

How long does delivery take?

Each frame is cut and assembled to order. Dispatched in 2–5 working days.

Is a 50x50 frame the same as 50 × 50 cm?

Yes — 50x50 is the everyday way of writing 50 × 50 cm (500 × 500 mm). We cut the frame to the metric size, so a 50 × 50 cm print fits exactly.

The nearest imperial size is 20" x 20", which is close but not identical — if your print is imperial, order that size instead so nothing has to be trimmed.
