About this frame
A slim, square 17mm profile — understated and endlessly versatile, in a deep, confident black in a smooth, closed-grain finish. It suits monochrome photography, bold typographic prints and anything you want to feel grounded and gallery-sharp. Each frame is cut, mitered and assembled to fit your print — handmade in the UK and shipped ready to hang.
Materials & specification
- Real solid-wood moulding, cut and finished in our workshop.
- Clear cast-acrylic glazing — lighter and safer in transit than glass.
- Backed in archival foamboard with sealed edges.
- Ships with hanging hardware fitted; larger frames include wire + screws.
- Prints on archival paper with pigment inks, 100+ years light-fast.

Each frame is made to order. UK orders typically dispatch within 2–5 working days. International shipping calculated at checkout.
If anything arrives damaged, we replace it.
Album art on the wall
A 12-inch sleeve is about 31.5cm square — not a size anyone stocks, which is why most album covers stay in the rack.
For the original sleeve, the simplest answer is our ready-made Vinyl Record Frame : it's built for a standard LP sleeve and has push-and-turn clips at the back, so you can swap the cover whenever you like.
For printed album art, a square made-to-measure frame in 12×12", 30×30cm or 40×40cm gives you the moulding and mount of your choice — choose Frame only if you're mounting a print you already have.

What size frame fits a vinyl record sleeve?
A standard 12" LP sleeve fits our 12×12" square frame. We also make other square sizes to order.
Can I frame the record itself, not just the sleeve?
These are flat picture frames sized for the sleeve or printed artwork. They aren't deep enough to mount the record disc as a 3D object.
Do I need a mount?
No — the sleeve fills the frame. A mount is optional if you want a border around it.
What size frame fits an album cover?
A 12" LP sleeve measures about 31.5×31.5cm (12⅜"), so it does not drop into a 12×12" frame. For the sleeve itself use the ready-made Vinyl Record Frame, which is built to that size; 12×12", 30×30cm and 40×40cm suit printed album art and reproductions.
Can I swap the album cover later?
With the ready-made Vinyl Record Frame, yes — it has push-and-turn clips at the back, so changing the sleeve takes a minute. A made-to-measure frame is sealed and intended to stay as built.
Which mouldings can I have?
Any solid-wood moulding in the square sizes listed. Aluminium is offered in our stock sizes only — off-stock aluminium would ship as a self-assembly kit, and we would rather send you a finished frame.
