About this frame

A slim, square 17mm profile — understated and endlessly versatile, in a deep, confident black in a smooth, closed-grain finish. It suits monochrome photography, bold typographic prints and anything you want to feel grounded and gallery-sharp. Each frame is cut, mitered and assembled to fit your print — handmade in the UK and shipped ready to hang.

Made to your size. Every frame is cut, joined and glazed to order, which is why we can't accept returns on made-to-measure frames. Please check your size before ordering.

Arrives perfect, or we remake it. Every frame travels in specialised picture frame packaging. If anything reaches you less than perfect, send us a photo within 48 hours of delivery and we'll remake it free.

Caring for it. Peel any protective film from the glazing, then clean with a soft, dry cloth. Don't use glass cleaner.

A small print, a big mount

An oversized mount puts a small print in a much bigger frame, so the border does the work. It makes a small photo, sketch or print look deliberate, gives it room on a big wall, and is how galleries hang small work.

Every size here comes with its mount already added and a small opening, so the border is generous: an A5 print in an A3 frame has 7-10cm of mount round it, an A4 in a 40×50cm or A2 frame 10-15cm, an 8×12" in a 16×20" 4" all round, an 11×14" in an 18×24" 3½-5".

What is an oversized mount?

A mount much wider than usual - typically 7cm (3") or more - so a small print sits in a large frame. It gives small artwork presence and is a common gallery and museum look.

Which frame size do I need for my print?

Find your print size, then the frame:

  • A5 print - A3 or 30×40cm frame.
  • A4 print - 40×50cm or A2 frame.
  • 6×8" print - 12×16" frame.
  • 8×12" print - 16×20" frame.
  • 11×14" print - 18×24" frame.
  • 12×16" print - 20×24" frame.
  • 12×18" print - 20×30" frame.
  • 16×20" print - 24×30" frame.
  • 16×24" print - 24×36" frame.
Will my print fit the mount opening?

Yes. The opening is cut a few millimetres smaller than the print size so the mount overlaps the edges and holds it in place.

Do I need to send you my print?

No. Leave Add my photo unticked and we post the frame and mount; you fit the print at home. Or upload a photo and we print it to the opening size and frame it for you.
