Express shipping is available on print-only orders in any size, and on framed orders in the sizes below — these are the sizes we keep ready-made frames for, so we can still despatch quickly if there is no time to cut a frame to order.

About this frame
A slim, square 17mm profile — understated and endlessly versatile, in a deep, confident black in a smooth, closed-grain finish. It suits monochrome photography, bold typographic prints and anything you want to feel grounded and gallery-sharp. Each frame is cut, mitered and assembled to fit your print — handmade in the UK and shipped ready to hang.
Materials & specification
- Real solid-wood moulding, cut and finished in our workshop.
- Clear cast-acrylic glazing — lighter and safer in transit than glass.
- Backed in archival foamboard with sealed edges.
- Ships with hanging hardware fitted; larger frames include wire + screws.
- Prints on archival paper with pigment inks, 100+ years light-fast.

Each frame is made to order. UK orders typically dispatch within 2–5 working days. International shipping calculated at checkout.
If anything arrives damaged, we replace it.

A 12″ square is the LP-sleeve format, so it suits album art and record covers as well as square photo prints and scrapbook pages.

What is a 12" x 12" picture frame best for?
12" x 12" (305 × 305 mm) is a true square. It suits square photo prints, album art, canvases and any artwork cropped 1:1 — a format standard rectangular frames cannot take without a custom mount.
Can I add a mount to a 12" x 12" frame?
Yes. Add a mount and we cut the aperture to your artwork, so you can sit a smaller square print inside a larger square frame with an even border on all four sides.
Are the frames real wood?
Yes. Our wood mouldings are solid wood with closed-grain, open-grain or bobbin finishes, handmade in the UK. Metal mouldings are real aluminium.
Is 12x12 the same as 12" x 12"?
Yes — 12x12 and 12" x 12" are the same size (305 × 305 mm). Because the frame is square there is no portrait or landscape version.
How long does delivery take?
Each frame is cut and assembled to order. Dispatched in 2–5 working days.
