A slim, square 17mm profile — understated and endlessly versatile, in a deep, confident black in a smooth, closed-grain finish. It suits monochrome photography, bold typographic prints and anything you want to feel grounded and gallery-sharp. Each frame is cut, mitered and assembled to fit your print — handmade in the UK and shipped ready to hang.

Made to your size. Every frame is cut, joined and glazed to order, which is why we can't accept returns on made-to-measure frames. Please check your size before ordering.

Arrives perfect, or we remake it. Every frame travels in specialised picture frame packaging. If anything reaches you less than perfect, send us a photo within 48 hours of delivery and we'll remake it free.

Caring for it. Peel any protective film from the glazing, then clean with a soft, dry cloth. Don't use glass cleaner.

Framing a canvas panel

A canvas panel (or canvas board) is canvas glued to a flat board about 3mm thick, so it frames like a print, not like a stretched canvas. Choose the panel's size below and leave Add my photo unticked: the frame arrives ready to hang and the panel drops in at the back, in front of the backing board.

Frames come glazed. For an oil or acrylic painting most people leave the glazing out so the surface shows as it was painted: lift it out before fitting the panel. Keep it in for pastel, charcoal or anything that smudges.

Most panels are sold in standard sizes, so a frame the same size fits edge to edge. A size that isn't listed? Custom framing cuts the frame to your panel.

What size frame do I need for a canvas board?

The same size as the board. A 16×20" canvas board goes in a 16×20" frame, an A3 panel in an A3 frame. Measure the board itself, not the painted area.

Can I frame a stretched canvas or a cradled panel?

Not here. These frames are for flat panels about 3mm thick. A stretched canvas or a deep cradled panel needs a much deeper moulding: ask us about those.

Should a painting on canvas board be glazed?

Oil and acrylic paintings are usually framed without glazing, so lift it out before fitting the panel. Glazing is worth keeping for pastel, charcoal or watercolour on canvas board, which can smudge or mark.

Can I add a mount?

Yes, if your panel is smaller than the frame. Pick a larger frame and the opening that matches the panel. Most painters frame canvas boards edge to edge with no mount.

Do I need to send you my painting?

No. We make the frame and post it to you, and you fit the panel at home: open the back, lay it in, close it again.
