Express shipping is available on print-only orders in any size, and on framed orders in the sizes below — these are the sizes we keep ready-made frames for, so we can still despatch quickly if there is no time to cut a frame to order.

About this frame
A slim, square 17mm profile — understated and endlessly versatile, in a deep, confident black in a smooth, closed-grain finish. It suits monochrome photography, bold typographic prints and anything you want to feel grounded and gallery-sharp. Each frame is cut, mitered and assembled to fit your print — handmade in the UK and shipped ready to hang.
Materials & specification
- Real solid-wood moulding, cut and finished in our workshop.
- Clear cast-acrylic glazing — lighter and safer in transit than glass.
- Backed in archival foamboard with sealed edges.
- Ships with hanging hardware fitted; larger frames include wire + screws.
- Prints on archival paper with pigment inks, 100+ years light-fast.
Delivery & returns
Each frame is made to order. UK orders typically dispatch within 2–5 working days. International shipping calculated at checkout.
If anything arrives damaged, we replace it.

What is a 36" x 18" picture frame best for?
36" x 18" is a made-to-measure size we cut to order, so the fit is exact rather than trimmed to a nearest standard.
Can I add a mount to a 36" x 18" frame?
Yes. Add a mount and we cut the aperture to your artwork, so the board sits behind the glass with an even border.
Can I order the frame on its own?
Yes. Choose Frame only and we send the empty frame, ready for artwork you already have.
Are the frames real wood?
Yes. Our wood mouldings are solid wood in closed-grain, open-grain and bobbin finishes, handmade in the UK. Metal mouldings are real aluminium.
How long does delivery take?
Each frame is cut and assembled to order and dispatched in 2–5 working days.
How much wall does a 36" x 18" frame need?
Allow just over 40 inches of clear width once the moulding is added. It hangs best above a sofa, bed or sideboard.
